Burning Soul

I was in the mood for some digital painting, and as usual what started out as just an excuse to color an old sketch and check out a new tutorial became something crazy.

As much as I love digital painting, it always ends up way crazier than I intended, and never quite has the feel I want. I definitely came closer this time than usual, but I'm still missing something.

Original sketch came from an old AU idea where Shingen, the great god of fire, had two sons, a god of ash and a god of heat. I'm sure you can guess which one Yukimura was.
